The creative process has fascinated me since my childhood. Whether I was finger painting or helping my mother make macramé wall hangings, I just had to be right in the middle of it. My formal education began with Photography and I have journeyed through many art forms before finding my home in Ceramics. I find that working with clay is the best way for me to achieve a truly organic and complete interface with my creations. It is the minutia of the steps involved in the creative process that allow me to reach the meditative and peaceful state I seek. My creations then achieve a life of their own. I feel I have freed them into the world where they are able to interact with others, independent of my intentions or preconceptions.
